Dude, Nashville’s on Gangland

Sure, Nashville is getting bigger and crime is on the rise and I had heard about gangs in Nashville but since I rarely venture outside my little bubble, I don’t notice these things. Plus, I don’t have the desire to head over to parts of town that is gang heavy.

Sitting on the couch today, thinking about what I should be doing I find Gangland on tv; nothing else is on so I flip to it, doing some reading in the meantime, thinking about a nap. Then a new episode comes on and I see the Batman Building, huh? Oh my! Music City USA is now gang infested?

In a word, yes. I sti and giggle as the gang members talk about shooting people, acting tough and bragging about the drugs, money and the killings. In fact, one guy being interviewed sat there smiling as he recalled the time when they were shooting at a guy that was holding his baby. I could not understand if the baby was killed as well but seriously? You be proud of that, not backing down, gettin at it?

So while I have one friend who always cuts me down for staying in my certain part of town but really, why would I want to head to other parts where these idiots are running around shooting people cause they ain’t no p*ssy. Nice man. Gotta say that makes me want to run out and join a gang. . .

I normally giggle at the episodes I watch but this one on Nashville? I just want to smack the crap out of them and ask them exactly what is it that you are getting out of it. Are you making up for a small, erm, package? Hopefully Metro will shut down these gangs, maybe run them out of town. Oh, and the cherry on top? Apparently one gang member wanted to shoot at a UPS delivery guy. Why? He thought that he was a part of the rival gang because he wore brown. OMG, I think that was the best giggle I have had in awhile. Dude, those brown trucks that say UPS on them, it’s this business that does this thing called delivering items to peoples’ homes. They are kind of like the USPS, you know, those people who wear blue and deliver the mail. Don’t shoot them either, they are paid to actually put those envelopes and packages into the mailbox.

Thanks for the laughs History Channel and showing that while Nashville maybe getting bigger and more metropolitan, we still have stupid people running around.

What you see is what you get; I am a Nashville girl who is single, again. I use the blog to get my inner, tortured, wanna be writer angst out. One day I just may write a book. I have been stumbling through life for 43 years now, I love to cook, read and figure out more embarrassing ways I can either harm myself (thank you hula hoop of 2010 and the case of the thrown back) or just prove how inept I am at household chores and dieting. The people you read about on here are real but most have had their names changed to protect the innocent and not so innocent. And I really should make a list of them so I can remember! Enjoy, read, mock, laugh and comment, it really isn't difficult. Plus, I would prefer reading comments from real people as opposed to the weird spam comments I keep getting. Plus, I will always find the hardest path to follow and take that one, why would anyone want to take the easy way?!

    1. Thanks for visiting Brandon. This was more of a sarcastic look at Nashville making the Gangland series. But I appreciate that from what I can gather from your response that you hope they will find me soon. The reality is that gangs are making their presence known in metropolitan areas and even in smaller towns now as well; the police are doing what they can but for many years, this was seen as something that wouldn’t happen in our backyards. Just places like LA and other really large cities. That means that metro and other police departments are struggling with funding, training and handling the situation in order to crack down and get rid of gangs. But again, thanks for taking the time to comment.

      1. just saying but u don’t know gangs police will never shut down the gangs anywhere here in auburn california they will never shut down the gangs in auburn.
