The Morning After

Go Steelers! That was a great game. I will even take the ribbing from friends and family since it was a great game and my team won!!!!!!

I was having a ball watching it although Stacey’s animals weren’t too thrilled with the jumping up and down and screaming. Sorry about that Shadow and Teddy Bear, I can’t help myself. I am sad that Polamalu got hurt but hopefully he will be back in the game sooner rather than later.

Today also marked the eighth anniversary of 9/11. I witnessed everything on NBC and even to this day I can get emotional about it. It bothers me that truthers start screaming about it being a government plot, especially on this day. Really, would you like to explain what happened to the 3,000 people who died that day?

Anyway, today is about those who lost their lives that day and their families that mourn them daily. I have been to the site since 9/11 and to the makeshift museum as well. I really need to plan another trip back to NYC to see the progress. And to eat. . .

But to those who lost someone in the attacks, may we never forget, may we always be there to support those who have lost and may we go forward with their memories firmly planted in our hearts.

What you see is what you get; I am a Nashville girl who is single, again. I use the blog to get my inner, tortured, wanna be writer angst out. One day I just may write a book. I have been stumbling through life for 43 years now, I love to cook, read and figure out more embarrassing ways I can either harm myself (thank you hula hoop of 2010 and the case of the thrown back) or just prove how inept I am at household chores and dieting. The people you read about on here are real but most have had their names changed to protect the innocent and not so innocent. And I really should make a list of them so I can remember! Enjoy, read, mock, laugh and comment, it really isn't difficult. Plus, I would prefer reading comments from real people as opposed to the weird spam comments I keep getting. Plus, I will always find the hardest path to follow and take that one, why would anyone want to take the easy way?!
